Hypnosis
Hypnosis is a natural state of relaxation in which you experience a state of heightened suggestibility. Hypnosis can be used to promote physical or emotional health. While in a deep state of relaxation, you are offered suggestions tailored to your specific needs. Your unconscious mind can then transmit these thoughts and images throughout your mind and body, influencing them in ways that seem impossible in ordinary states of consciousness. Hypnotherapy is increasingly being used in mainstream medicine, thanks to mounting evidence that it works, as well as research showing how the human brain responds to hypnosis. Research has shown that hypnosis is effective in treating a host of disorders, including gastro-intestinal disorders, skin conditions, pain, Attention-Deficit disorders, cancer, allergies, anxiety and phobias, weight control, and substance use.
